About

SUBU is a multifaceted architecture office and an environmentally conscious project, led by architect and sustainable building engineer Spyros Karagiannis. Providing architectural and consulting services at every stage, from inception to completion, SUBU is focusing on the design of Passive House and nearly zero-energy buildings (nZEB). Since 2018, SUBU is consistently pursuing the design and construction of rammed earth structures. REW, completed in 2019, is the first built example in Greece, to be constructed according to international standards, using pneumatic tools. Combining its scientific background, love for natural materials and a hands-on approach with versatility and an eye for detail, SUBU aims to deliver outstanding work and play a leading role in the adoption of sustainable architecture practices in Greece.
